It sums up the essence of St Anton am Arlberg. It is one of the oldest chalets in the village– and its prestigious original address was No 1, St Anton!
Rosanna’s unrivalled location, set in its own private garden, combines a serene setting near St Anton’s onion-domed church with close proximity to the vibrant village centre. The ski lifts are an easy walk away.
Everything about the chalet – from its balconies on two levels to its beams and authentic wall-paintings (or luftmalerei to give them their true name) – may be full of tradition. But that doesn’t mean that Rosanna’s level of comfort is anything but topnotch.
Every bedroom has en-suite facilities, with of course luxury touches such as slippers, bathrobes and Aromatherapy Associates products to help you relax after the day’s exertions on the mountain. The welcoming entrance hall has plenty of room to change into slippers and leave outdoor shoes. The cosy living room is wonderful for sharing stories from the slopes and enjoying predinner drinks – perhaps a glass of kir or gluhwein – and canapés, and the dining room has the sort of mellow atmosphere that encourages you to linger over coffee and port.
The ambience, and superb location, tends to present our guests with a nightly dilemma. Whether to hit the town, with its bars and clubs – after all, the nightlife is the shortest of strolls away – or settle down in the chalet for a quiet evening with a glass of wine and good conversation and anticipate the thrills to come on the slopes the following day. |

Catering: | ::back to top | | There will be a Champagne reception on the first night of your holiday.
Breakfast can be as hearty or as light as you wish. There is fruit juice, yoghurt, cereals, porridge and preserves with freshly baked bread delivered each morning. A hot breakfast is also cooked on request until 9am (6 days).
Then there’s the treat of afternoon tea - with homemade cakes, biscuits or savoury and plenty of fresh bread and preserves laid out for you on your return from the slopes. High tea can be provided for children after 6 pm if required.
Dinner, the highlight of the evening, starts with pre-dinner drinks and canapes in the lounge, before an excellent three course meal. Wine accompanies the meal (a choice of 3 reds and 3 whites) and a selection of local cheeses will also be available, served with port. Tea and/or coffee and mints follow.
The chalet staff will have one day off during the week (usually Thursday) for you to enjoy the delights of the local restaurants. On this day you will be able to help yourself to a buffet style continental breakfast.
Rooms will be made ready in the evening whilst you are at dinner. The bed will be made ready, the bedside lights will be switched on and water will be placed next to your bed.
The hosts will cater for all individual requirements, including vegetarians, special diets and allergies - just let us know before you travel.
